  • The things i am reading.

Israel set up a drone factory in Tehran and employed Iranians who assumed it was an Iranian Government project.

  • The one thing to understand about the empire is it only picks fixed fights against farmers, shopkeepers, and ragtag militias in Toyota trucks. When it sees an easy target, it doesn’t talk it bombs them, then holds a victory parade for flattening Somalian fishermen or Iraqi firefighters.

So when you hear all the threats and tough talk, like Trump’s now, know it won’t lead to war. Israel might be ruled by zealots, but Washington isn’t stupid. A direct war with Iran would be suicide civilizational suicide.

Instead, they’ll stick to airstrikes, car bombs, and covert terror ops just like they’ve done for decades. When the empire really plans to kill or invade, there’s no chatter just Clarissa Ward on CNN in a helmet.

All this “evacuate Tehran” nonsense is bluff. If the empire were that reckless, WW3 would've started in the ’90s.

  • While Angola continues to languish near the bottom of every corruption rating, and most of its people continue to struggle with extremely low standards of living and lack of basic freedoms, the European and American owners of the Lobito Corridor are going to play golf in Luanda next week. There, they will discuss in greater depth for the umpteenth time how they will wonderfully export critical resources from the DRC through the Lobito Corridor for the next 50 years.

The speakers list will be wonderful - the best there is. All the best possible representatives of the USA, who do not find it difficult to shake hands with people who sell their country and everything it has for a few dollars while keeping their people in fear. There will be representatives from the US government, and from all the companies involved in the Lobito Corridor. Spoiler alert - none of them are African.

And as a little aside, the company Trafigura, which has corruption and bribery of state cases across half the planet (also the company that illegally dumped a shipload of toxic waste in Cote d'Ivoire in 2006, poisoning 26,000 Ivorians), is one of the companies participating in the project. It was most recently convicted in Switzerland over yet another bribery scandal in Angola, and what has changed? You guessed it - absolutely nothing. The company still manages the project...
